TRAIN TO PAKISTAN

India 1947. Trains packed with refugees - Hindus and Sikhs headed for India, and Muslims headed for Pakistan - were convenient targets for gangs of killers on both sides of the border. Inadequately protected 'Refugee Specials' were typically stopped, and the occupants butchered, several times in the course of the journey.

ONE BEDROOM FLAT...

Every person those who are far away from their parents for jobs should

have to read this heart touching mail !!!

ONE BEDROOM FLAT...

WRITTEN BY AN INDIAN SOFTWARE ENGINEER.. A Bitter Reality

As the dream of most parents I had acquired a degree in Software

Engineering and joined a company based in USA , the land of braves and

opportunity. When I arrived in the USA , it was as if a dream had come

true.

Here at last I was in the place where I want to be. I decided I

would be staying in this country for about Five years in which

time I would have earned enough money to settle down in India .

My father was a government employee and after his retirement, the only

asset he could acquire was a decent one bedroom flat.

I wanted to do some thing more than him. I started feeling

homesick and lonely as the time passed. I used to call home and

speak to my parents every week using cheap international phone cards.

Two years passed, two years of Burgers at McDonald's and pizzas and

discos and 2 years watching the foreign exchange rate getting happy

whenever the Rupee value went down.

Finally I decided to get married. Told my parents that I have

only 10 days of holidays and everything must be done within

these 10 days. I got my ticket booked in the cheapest flight.

Was jubilant and was actually enjoying shopping for gifts for all my

friends back home. If I miss anyone then there will be

talks. After reaching home I spent home one week going through all the

photographs of girls and as the time was getting shorter I was forced

to select one candidate.

In-laws told me, to my surprise, that I would have to get married in

2-3 days, as I will not get anymore holidays.. After

the marriage, it was time to return to USA , after giving some money to

my parents and telling the neighbors to look after them, we returned

to USA .

My wife enjoyed this country for about two months and then she started

feeling lonely. The frequency of calling India so

increased to twice in a week sometimes 3 times a week. Our savings

started diminishing.

After two more years we started to have kids. Two lovely kids, a boy

and a girl, were gifted to us by the almighty. Every time I spoke to

my parents, they asked me to come to India so that they can see their

grand-children.

Every year I decided to go to India ? But part work part monetary

conditions prevented it. Years went by and visiting

India was a distant dream. Then suddenly one day I got a message that

my parents were seriously sick. I tried but I

couldn't get any holidays and thus could not go to India ... The next

message I got was my parents had passed away and as there was no one

to do the last rites the society members had done whatever they could.

I was depressed. My parents had passed away without seeing their grand

children.

After couple more years passed away, much to my children's dislike and

my wife's joy we returned to India to settle down. I started to look

for a suitable property, but to my dismay my savings were short and

the property prices had gone up during all these years. I had to

return to the USA ...

My wife refused to come back with me and my children refused to stay

in India ... My 2 children and I returned to USA after promising my

wife I would be back for good after two years.

Time passed by, my daughter decided to get married to an American and

my son was happy living in USA ... I decided that had enough and

wound-up every thing and returned to India ... I had just enough money

to buy a decent 02 bedroom flat in a well-developed locality.

Now I am 60 years old and the only time I go out of the flat is for

the routine visit to the nearby temple. My faithful wife

has also left me and gone to the holy abode.

Sometimes I wondered was it worth all this?

My father, even after staying in India . Had a house to his name and I

too have the same nothing more.

I lost my parents and children for just ONE EXTRA BEDROOM.

Looking out from the window I see a lot of children dancing.

This damned cable TV has spoiled our new generation and these children

are losing their values and culture because of it. I get occasional

cards from my children asking I am alright. Well at least they

remember me.

Now perhaps after I die it will be the neighbors again who will be

performing my last rights, God Bless them.

But the question still remains 'was all this worth it?'

I am still searching for an answer..................!!!

START THINKING

IS IT JUST FOR ONE EXTRA BEDROOM???

LIFE IS BEYOND THIS ?..DON'T JUST LEAVE YOUR LIFE ??..

START LIVING IT ??.

LIVE ITAS YOU WANT IT TO BE ??.

An excellent story which will surely touch your hearts and will leave a big learning behind…..

An excellent story which will surely touch your hearts and will leave a big learning behind…..

I was walking around in a Big Bazaar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy who couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old.
The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ''aunty, are you sure I don't have enough money?''
I counted his cash and replied: ''You know that you don't have enough money to buy the doll, my dear.'' The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
Finally, I walked towards him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. 'It's the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much. I wanted to Gift for her BIRTHDAY.
I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.' His eyes were so sad while saying this. 'My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.''
My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: 'I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.' Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me 'I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won't forget me.' 'I love my mommy and I wish she doesn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.' Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.
I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. 'Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?''
'OK' he said, 'I hope I do have enough.' I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.
The little boy said: 'Thank you God for giving me enough money!'
Then he looked at me and added, 'I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that Mommy could give It to my sister.
He heard me!'' 'I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.'
I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.
Then I remembered a local News paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl. The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from coma. Was this the family of the little boy?
Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away.. I couldn't stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.
I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.
The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.
Please DO NOT DRINK & DRIVE.

U CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW SIMPLE STEPS.

U CAN MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE TO THE INDIAN ECONOMY BY FOLLOWING FEW SIMPLE STEPS.

Please spare a couple of minutes here........for the sake of India ... our country.

I got this article from one of my friend, but it's true, I can see this from day to day life,

Small example
Before 5 months
1 CAN $ = IND Rs 32
After 5 months. Now it is 1 CAN $ = IND Rs 37

Do you think Canadian Economy is booming? No, but Indian Economy is Going Down.

Our Economy is in u'r hands

INDIAN economy is in a crisis. Our country like many other ASIAN countries is undergoing a severe economic crunch. Many INDIAN industries are closing down. The INDIAN economy is in a crisis and if we do not take proper steps to control those, we will be in a critical situation.

More than 30000 crore rupees of foreign exchange are being siphoned out of our country on products such as cosmetics, snacks, tea, beverages...etc which are grown, produced and consumed here .

A cold drink that costs only 70 / 80 paisa to produce is sold for NINE rupees, and a major chunk of profits from these are sent abroad. This is a serious drain on INDIAN economy.

"COCA COLA "and" SPRITE " belong to the same multinational company, "COCA COLA"?

Coke advertisements says ' JO CHAHO HOJAYE, COCACOLA ENJOY'

(Whatever the hell, let it happen, you drink coke)
What can you do?

You can consider some of the better alternatives to aerated drinks.
You can drink LEMON JUICE, FRESH FRUIT JUICES, CHILLED LASSI (SWEET OR SOUR), BUTTER MILK, COCONUT WATER, JALJEERA, ENERJEE, MASALA MILK..........

Everyone deserves a healthy drink, including you!
Over and above all this, economic sanctions have been imposed on us. We have nothing against Multinational companies, but to protect our own interests we request everybody to use INDIAN products only for next two years. With the rise in petrol prices, if we do not do this, the rupee will devalue further and we will end up paying much more for the same products in the near future.

What you can do about it?

1 . Buy only products manufactured by WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.
2 . ENROLL as many people as possible for this cause.

Each individual should become a leader for this awareness.

This is the only way to save our country from severe economic crisis. You don't need to give-up your lifestyle. You just need to choose an alternate product.

All categories of products are available from WHOLLY INDIAN COMPANIES.

EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE FOR A REAL FREEDOM.

WE ACHIEVED OUR INDEPENDENCE AFTER LOSING MANY LIVES.

THEY DIED PAINFULLY TO ENSURE THAT WE LIVE PEACEFULLY. THE CURRENT TREND IS VERY THREATENING.

MULTINATIONALS CALL IT GLOBALISATION OF INDIAN ECONOMY. FOR INDIANS LIKE YOU AND ME IT IS RECOLONISATION OF INDIA ...

THE COLONIST'S LEFT INDIA THEN. BUT THIS TIME THEY WILL MAKE SURE THEY DON'T MAKE ANY MISTAKES.

Success is not permanent and failure is not final

Good Morning..

What is Life?????????

Life is like having a cup of tea.

You sit by the side of the window,

Lift the cup and take a careless sip only to realize,
Somebody forgot to put the sugar.

Too lazy to go for it, you somehow struggle through the sugarless cup.

Till you discover undissolved sugar crystal sitting at the bottom...

That's LIFE!!!!!!!
