Ashwin held portfolios at WIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India as Vice-chairman, Treasurer, apart from serving as chairman, convenor and members on various its sub committees in his two successful terms at WIRC. He is the youngest chairman of the Ahmedabad branch of WIRC,where he held portfolio as Treasurer and Secretary during his tenure. When he was in 10th standard, his first article was published in the newspaper by a leading Hindi daily in Rajasthan. He was associated as stringer with Navbharat Times, regular contributor to Sanjha Jansatta in Mumbai and his articles on various subjects have been published in almost all the leading Hindi dailies of India. He was a regular columnist in Gujarati daily Divya Bhashkar too.Jansatta Delhi edition was his favourite newspaper and now his day start with Free Press Journal. If he wouldn't be a chartered accountant, he would have been a journalist.
